HOW TO FIND YOUR VOICE

  1. As a musician (or aspiring one), finding your voice is the first thing you need to do. It is the point where you know your singing capabilities, and how best to use it. Below are some tips on how to find your voice.                                                                                                     (1) Know the uniqueness of your voice:  The first thing you need to know about  finding your voice is it's uniqueness no two people have thesame voice (not even twins). You should avoid trying to copy someone else's voice, or you'll never get to find yours.          (2) Listen to your environment:  you should listen to your environs, and identify each sound  (emotions and symbols)  Know the difference between sounds and how they are produced.     (3) Practice regularly: all successful musicians you see, practice like hell   (or they did at some point)   so inorder to find your voice,  you have to practice really hard. (Tip: if you are using a song to practice. Try to sing it your own way and avoid trying to mimic the original Singer, never-the-less you shouldn't go off key, it should sound similar to the original song.                                                                   (4) know your range: your range is the highest-lowest note you can sing. To find it, sing gradually while taking the pitch up to the highest note and down to the lowest, without straining in anyway. ( tip: use piano for effectiveness).    Find a competent music teacher to monitor your progress and guide you all the way. Good luck!
